In The Settlers - Rise of an Empire, the player builds dynamic cities in a medieval world. Everything in this highly detailed, realistic environment is visibly and lovingly animated. Each of the game characters leads their individual lives and can be observed by the player at any time. The ultimate goal of the game is to expand the empire and go into history as a legendary king.

Die Siedler is a German computer game series in the field of strategy games. The first part of the series was developed by Volker Wertich for the manufacturer Blue Byte and was published in 1993. The Settlers RoaE, or the sixth part of the series, was released on September 28, 2007 and the expansion of the game, Empire of the East, was released on March 27, 2008.
